Torrey Apple Days 2015

We have a tradition in the town of Torrey, Utah. Every year we hold a Fourth of July celebration known as Apple Days. This little tradition has grown every year, and we now routinely meet people from all over the world at the events. If you happen to be in town this Independence Day, here’s a list of what to expect from the 2015 Torrey Apple Days celebration.

Friday July 3rd
4:00 pm – Turkey shoot. (No not real Turkeys. ) Look for the signs on Highway 24.
5:00 pm – Community Potluck Picnic. The town of Torrey will bring pulled pork sandwiches. You bring a side dish.
6:30 pm – Miss Apple Days Talent Show. Held at the Big Apple, the open-air stage in Torrey.
8:00 pm – Movie at the Big Apple. Watch an outdoor movie under the stars.

Saturday July 4th
7:00 am to 9:00 am – Fourth of July Breakfast. Held in the Torrey Town Pavilion.
Cost: $25 for a family. $7 for an adult. $5 for a child.
8:00 am – Race for the Apple 5K. Awards given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
Cost: $15. Registration begins at 8:00. Race begins at 8:30.
8:00 am to 3:00 pm – Torrey Swap Meet. Buy handcrafted collectable, antiques, and local artists’ work. Held at the Town Park.
9:00 am to 2:00 pm – Rabbit Valley Quilters Show. Handmade quilts for show and sale on Main Street.
10:00 am – Torrey Apple Days Parade. The main event.
10:00 am to 8:30 pm – Classic Car Show. Prizes will be awarded at 3:00 pm. Held at 875 N SR24, in Torrey.
10:30 am to 3:00 pm – Fun and Games. There will be children’s games, bouncy houses, water slides, food vendors and sand volleyball tournament.
Cost: $8 per wristband.
11:00 am – Pie Eating Contest. Cash prize of $100 for the winner.
1:30 pm to 8:30 pm – Patriotic Program. Held at the Robber’s Roost in Torrey.
3:00 pm – White and Blue, Redrocks Too Concert. Local Musicians will play into the evening.
3:00 pm – Apple Derby. Float apples in the Torrey Canal for a chance to win, if your apple is lucky. Prizes include a Go Pro camera, a youth bike, and gift certificates to local merchants.
9:00 pm to 12:00 am – The Big Apple Dance. Held at the Big Apple Stage in Torrey. Must be 13 and older to attend.
Cost: $5 per person. $8 per couple.
