Spring Break in Southern Utah!

Spring Break is here! Whether you’ve got kids in elementary school, or you are looking for a break before those killer finals, you’ll wanna get outside and play. And we at the Lodge can think of a better place than sunny Southern Utah. Here’s our shortlist for Spring Break 2017:

Moab, Arches and Canyonlands – Moab is, conveniently, the gateway town for both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. And, as such, it has developed into a outdoor adventure destination. For example, you can get everything you need to go Jeeping, rappelling, or whitewater rafting. Of course, since you’re right there, we recommend that you also check out the national parks. Some of the most remote and scenic places in Utah are to be found in this area.

Capitol Reef and the Grand Staircase – Of course we have to suggest Capitol Reef, we love it so much. Capitol Reef National Park and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument together form a huge region of beautiful wilderness. So whether you want to do an awesome road trip, or a three-day backcountry adventure, this is the right place. Plus Lake Powell is nearby, if you are more inclined to water sports. Since, for us, playing in the sun with good friends is what makes a great Spring Break, you can’t beat Southern Utah.

Zion National Park – Zion can be explored in so many different ways. If you are on a budget, you can camp in the campgrounds fairly cheaply. If you don’t mind treating yourself, you can shop in the artists’ village just outside the main entrance. If you are a dedicated hiker you can do Angel’s Landing before dawn. Or if you prefer to take it slow, you can simply do the bus tour of Zion Canyon. Plus, Zion National Park is usually one of the warmest spots in the state – perfect for this year’s Spring Break.
