Horseback Riding at the Lodge
Posted in: Outdoor adventures on July 26, 2011.
The Lodge at Red River Ranch is the ideal setting for those who love horseback riding. You are welcome to bring your own horses and board them here, or take a trip with one of our local outfitters. Many of our visitors tell us horseback riding was the highlight of their vacation.
The Red River Ranch offers 2,000 private acres to ride at your leisure. And with so much to explore in our nearby national parks and forests there is no better way than on horseback. With a guided horse tour you can view more natural wonders while experiencing that unique Old West flavor.
In addition to the obvious touring spots like Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Capitol Reef National Park, you can enjoy horseback riding on hundreds of forest trails close by in our area. Both Dixie National Forest and Fish Lake National Forest have hundreds of miles to explore. Boulder Mountain is a popular destination for half-day or full-day horse tours.
Horseback riding can be perfect for all skill levels and ages. The adventurer has a chance to really get into the backcountry, while the beginner can learn the ropes at a safe pace. Children become universally excited when they ride a horse for the first time.
Here at the Lodge, we encourage you to start or renew a passion for horseback riding. To help you achieve this, The Lodge at Red River Ranch is pleased to partner with Capitol Reef Backcountry Outfitters, a premier guiding company. Together we offer our guests horseback riding instruction and trips. Rates and further information are available at the front desk.
Happy trails partner.
