Did you that Southern Utah has its very own art village? It’s called Coyote Gulch and it’s one of the area’s hidden gems. There are a number of galleries, a half-dozen studios, and gift and coffee shops that together form this little village. There’s even a couple of spas. Coyote Gulch is tucked away in Kayenta, Utah, just a few miles outside of Saint George.
Visiting Coyote Gulch is a lot of fun. You can wander around in the little shops and galleries, grab some delicious treats, and maybe buy some art. Visitors are welcome any time, but if you want to get the most out of Coyote Gulch Art Village, we suggest you go to one of the art classes or events held there. As an haven and workplace for resident artists, there are always classes being taught somewhere in the village. And plenty of these are open to the public. Find out what each of the studios are doing here.
The Center for the Arts at Kayenta also helps schedule the events for Coyote Gulch and the surrounding area. There are musical and theatrical productions, as well as lectures and public exhibits. The list of upcoming events, and ticket prices, can be found here.
If you’re going to visit the village and are wondering what else to check out in the area, Coyote Gulch has some suggestions on their site. Definitely go to Snow Canyon State Park, which is conveniently close to Kayenta. And of course, Zion National Park is nearby – so you should probably check that out too.
Whether you’re an aspiring artist, an old pro, or just in it for some new wall art, you’ll love hanging out in Coyote Gulch Art Village.
