Capitol Reef – A Love Letter

Hey, it’s Valentines’ Day, and that means people are professing and reaffirming their love for each other. And we at the Lodge at Red River Ranch thought we’d get on board with this whole idea – by telling everyone how much we love Capitol Reef!

It’s no secret that we really love Capitol Reef National Park. We love everything about it, from the popular orchards of Fruita, to the remote canyons of Lower Mulley Twist. We love the towering sandstone monoliths of Cathedral Valley, the hidden arches of the Waterpocket Fold, and the welcoming Gifford House. We can’t always put our finger on it, but there’s definitely something about Capitol Reef that speaks to the soul.

And we love it. We love spending time hiking in the backcountry, or simply lounging at the picnic area near the Visitor Center. So on this Valentine’s Day, we just want to reiterate… we love Capitol Reef!

And if you’re wondering how you can get to love Capitol Reef just as much as we do, it’s easy, you just have to visit it once. You can start by checking out our list of the Top Ten Things to Do in Capitol Reef. And if you want a more detailed itinerary, well we have you covered. Just pick one of our itineraries based on the amount of time you have to spend in the park. See them all here.
