We Love Southern Utah!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
Today is February 14th, which is Valentine’s Day! A day when people everywhere get to focus on who and what they love. Which makes it the perfect day to talk about why we love Southern Utah so much! We’ve been running the Lodge at Red River Ranch for well over 30 years now, and we are still just in love with this beautiful country as ever.
Catch-Your-Breath Beautiful
Everywhere you look in Southern Utah is beautiful – from the natural arches and bridges of Arches National Park to the high-walled canyons of Zion National Park, and everywhere in between. There are fantastical sandstone spires shaped into spectacular, and sometimes otherworldly, hoodoos. There are desert vistas that stretch for miles to the horizon line, with not a soul in slight. And there are mountains covered in golden aspens and crowned with snow. We have never found a place that captures the heart quite like Southern Utah.
The Sublime
There is also something beyond mere beauty to be found in Southern Utah. There is something here that connects to the soul. Maybe it’s the solitude that can be found in the backcountry, or the peace that comes with contemplating nature, or it’s the fact that the sun shines almost all-year round, but for whatever reason, Southern Utah allows us to get in touch with the inner-self – the Sublime inside all of us.
You Can Love Here Too
We’re willing to bet that you’ll fall in love with this wonderful place too. Just plan one visit and you’ll see how impossible it is to forget Southern Utah. Check out some of our itineraries, or this list of Top Ten Things to Do in Capitol Reef to get started!
